Make the goal happen
- Give every goal a date. A date turns "someday" into a monthly number you can plan around.
- Save on payday. Move the monthly amount as soon as your pay arrives, before it gets spent.
- Track progress. Seeing the percent go up is the best reason to keep going.

Questions
How much should my emergency fund be?
A common target is three to six months of essential expenses. Start with one month if that feels more reachable, then keep going.
Should I save or pay off debt first?
Many people keep a small emergency fund first, then put extra money toward high-interest debt. Our free debt payoff calculator shows what extra payments save.
Does this include interest?
No. It shows the plain amounts. Interest on a savings account would get you there a little sooner.
Is my information saved or sent anywhere?
No. The math runs in your browser. Nothing you type leaves this page.
